What is the difference between a laser Printer and a regular printer?

About a year and a half ago, my dad brought home a laser printer. We already had a regular printer. What is the difference between these two types of Printers? Which one prints better and why? Which one is more ink efficient and why? Thanks

As regards of which is most efficient that depends on lots of things like what make and model of printers and what are you Printing and whether you are using original or compatible ink or toner.

They used to say lasers were cheaper per page but now there is not that much in it.

Lasers are better for text but if you want to Print photos/graphics then an ink can’t be touched.

So there is no such thing as the better printers as such. Just which is better for an individuals needs and only the user can determine that via what they will need to print with it.
