With the Automatic Image Refinement technology, the 600 x 600 dpi (dots per inch) printing resolution may be boosted to 2400 x 600 dpi with Canon compatible toners. Integration into your current Print environment is hassle-free since there are three language emulations around: UFRII-LT, PostScript Level-3, PCL5c and PCL6. Simply plug in a memory medium to make hardcopies of the files stored in it. Supported media are miniSD Card, microSD Card, SD memory Card, Memory Stick Duo, USB flash, etc.

In coming up with color and monochrome printouts, it employs laser technology. It’s fast enough to come up with 21 pages every minute. Canon’s very own Quick First-Print technology helps conserve precious time. This permits you to use the machine as soon as you press the power button. Helping you conserve consumables is the toner-saver mode.

It uses four toner cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow and black). Each one of them can yield as many as 6000 pages, based on 5 percent coverage. Replacing toner cartridges is a cinch since a front-loading design is employed. One great thing about the cartridges is each of them comes integrated with its own drum and cleaning units. Because of this, constant maintenance can be significantly reduced.

In order to meet your deadlines, it has flexible media handling. There’s a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray, 250-sheet cassette tray and 50-sheet DADF (duplex automatic document feeder). The DADF is used for automatic two-sided printing, letting you save time and paper. Media types supported are plain paper, bond paper, label, transparency and envelope. Media sizes supported range from legal, letter, executive, A4, A5, B5 to custom ones.

As many as 21 color and monochrome copies may be produced every minute. Using a resolution of 600 x 600 dots per inch, it can yield a max of 99 multiple copies. Reduce or enlarge from 50 to 200 percent using increments of 1 percent. Some convenient copying features include collation, 2-on-1, 4-on-1, frame erase and double-sided copying.

With the use of Send functions, it’s possible to scan directly to a USB flash drive, file server, an i-Fax and e-mail. It uses an optical 600 x 600 dpi resolution, and a 24-bit color depth for both input and output. It comes installed with a Super G3 modem, transmitting data with up to 33.6 Kbps speed. Remote reception, PC faxing, speed dialing, fax memory of 1000 pages max and fax forwarding are some convenient features available.

Memory amounting to 768MB is shared by the machine’s various functions. Being network-ready, integrating it into a workgroup is simple. Measuring 632mm (height) x 546mm (width) x 527mm (depth), it tips the scale at 43.3 kg. Thanks to the intuitive menu, Easy-Scroll Wheel and 8.8cm color TFT screen, it allows you to access the different functions of the machine conveniently.
